Sustainable design and its benefits
Sustainable Design is the creation of environmentally responsible buildings to promote environmental and economic sustainability and to reduce environmental impacts during product manufacturing, construction, and throughout the life of the project. Sustainable design also aims to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases by reducing reliance on fossil fuels to heat, cool, light and power buildings, thereby protecting the environment for the future.
Connolly Architecture, LLC presents all clients with information on the financial, health, and environmental advantages that sustainable design can bring to their project, enabling them to make informed choices throughout the design process.
Options are reviewed for reducing energy and water use, including use of passive heating and cooling; renewable energy; recycled and rapidly renewable materials; and low or no-VOC paints and adhesives to improve indoor air quality, among other items.
Sustainable design can be traditional or contemporary. In any style, sustainable design not only saves the environment, but can also save our clients money in the long run. Connolly Architecture, LLC uses the latest computer technology to analyze design options to arrive at the most cost effective and sustainable solutions, then uses that technology to produce accurate and thorough construction documents.
