The Village Square

The Village Square at Lambertville was to be a $4.6 million expansion and complete makeover of the IGA shopping center at the north end of Lambertville, NJ. The additions consisted of 20,000 sq. ft. of new retail space, 20,000 sq. ft. of new second floor office space, and a new bank building at the corner of the site. The rejuvenated center was to be an upscale Victorian style commercial village, carefully designed to fit in with the city of Lambertville. Once completed it was to be a modern, efficient, and convenient neighborhood service, retail, and professional center, anchored by a supermarket. Also included in the project were 8 townhouses to be built on the rear portion of the property.*
