Lambertville House
Lambertville House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, had welcomed travelers, both famous (including Presidents Jackson and Grant) and anonymous, to Lambertville, NJ since 1812. But by 1994 it had been closed for nearly a decade. A $2.5 million gut renovation, additions, and modernization, all done according to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards, made the hotel ready again to welcome modern travelers in its 26 guest rooms. Mike Shoup of the Trenton Times called it "a hotel for the 21st century, with rooms on par with a Four Seasons hotel." The project won a 1997 Downtown New Jersey award.*
