Kimball Medical Center's $27 million emergency department expansion was constructed in 4 phases to minimize disruption & inconvenience to patients, staff, & visitors. The 31,000 sf of additions and 20,000 sf of renovations not only upgraded and expanded the emergency department, but also expanded the Psychiatric Emergency Screening Service unit, and added an outpatient pavilion, hospitality suite, chapel, and rooftop healing garden. After the project was completed the hospital got the highest scores in the state for emergency department patient satisfaction. *
